Engineered for challenging ground

Deliver a foundation that stays put.

Treat the foundation as a secondary line item on challenging ground and it comes back — racks tilt, modules break. The EPC carrying the warranty is the one retrofitting at margin-eating cost. A foundation that looked “good enough at handover” becomes a callback once the ground moves.

Helicasol piles are engineered for exactly this ground. The helix plate sits below the weak surface layer, anchored in stable load-bearing soil that stays put season after season. Length, diameter and helix size are sized site-by-site, zone-by-zone, for the soil that’s actually there.

Engineered specification. EN 1090 manufacturing. GPS-verified installation. Your scope ends when delivered — and stays delivered.

The three execution risks

Foundation is where solar projects lose weeks — if you let it.

It’s typically 10–15% of CAPEX, but it carries a disproportionate share of schedule and execution risk. When foundation slips, the whole park slips with it — and the delay goes on your file. Three risks sit on every tender.

01 · Design fit

Will it actually work here?

Standard driven-post designs often fall short on challenging sites — soft clay, peat, perched water, frost-affected fill. You end up with overdesign (eating your margin) or underdesign (triggering rework). Neither is acceptable when you’re on the hook for on-time delivery.

02 · Delivery velocity

Will the piles arrive on time?

Foundation is typically on your critical path. A manufacturer who can’t hit your volume, or an installer who slows in challenging soil, drags the whole project. And in solar, schedule slip compounds — racking waits, electrical waits, commissioning waits.

03 · Interface risk

Who’s accountable when something breaks?

Three subcontractors — designer, manufacturer, installer — means three coordination points and three places to finger-point when an issue arises. The liability still sticks to your EPC contract. One call, one supplier is a better way.

We take all three — or any combination you need — off your plate.

What you get

Foundations engineered, built, and installed — or any part you need.

01

Design sized to your site

Not generic. Data-driven sizing based on test piling and site-specific geotechnical analysis. No overdesign, no nasty surprises.

02

EN 1090 helical pile manufacturing

3,500+ helical piles per week, manufactured in-house. Low-carbon Nordic steel, full traceability from mill certificate to installation.

03

On-schedule installation

GPS-guided crews, up to 7 machines on site simultaneously. Demonstrated on 71,000-pile deliveries in peat.

04

Hybrid-site flexibility

Helical piles for the bulk of the site — manufactured in-house. For zones that demand them, we also install C-profile or rock-drilling solutions. One supplier across the foundation, no interface gaps.

05

Installation flexibility

Our crews install with GPS-guided rigs and torque verification on every pile, or we supply piles with installation criteria, training and ongoing support to your civil works contractor — keeping all groundworks under one trusted sub.

06

One contract, one call

Single accountable partner for the foundation scope. No finger-pointing, no coordination overhead between three sub-suppliers.

How we work

From tender to last pile — on your schedule.

  1. 1

    Tender review

    Days · Free

Send us your site data, layout, and schedule. We respond with preliminary sizing, confirmed capacity in your soil type, and an indicative cost range you can carry into your bid.

  2. 2

    Test piling on challenging sites

    Optional · 2 days – 1 week

When the ground is uncertain, we run pull-out tests (PoT), compression, and lateral tests before you commit to a fixed bid. Your firm price rests on verified capacity, not assumptions.

  3. 3

    Final design & offer

    Site-specific, optimized

Site-specific pile sizing, installation criteria, and zone-by-zone recommendations. Delivered to Eurocode 7, EN 61773, and industry standards.

  4. 4

    Manufacture & deliver

    EN 1090 helical piles · 3,500+/week

Nordic low-carbon steel, full material traceability. Production matched to your install schedule. Documentation delivered alongside every batch.

  5. 5

Install — by us, or by your civil works contractor

    Engineered specification & installation support

We install with our own crews and equipment — every pile’s position (GPS) and capacity (torque) lands in your delivery report. Or, we supply piles to your civil works contractor with installation criteria, training and ongoing support — keeping your groundworks under one trusted sub.

Your park commissions on schedule. Foundation becomes the line item investors ask fewest questions about.
